Welcome Nadhila Wardhana to the K Family!

At Kfund, our DNA pulses with a Southern European spirit, but our sights are at the global stage. Meet Nadhila, the newest addition to our Leadwind team. An Indonesia native, Nadhila has roamed across the US, UK, France, and Germany before finally finding her new home in the heart of Madrid.

Our paths crossed with Nadhila during her time at the Austrian early-stage fund, Speedinvest. Her experience and diverse background align perfectly with our vision and we were thrilled when she decided to join us at K Fund.

What’s your professional story?

I have what I like to call a "vanilla" business school CV. I started my professional journey in the world of investment banking and consulting. But I felt an itch to switch gears, which brought me to venture into the startup scene. I had a short stint at the now-unicorn, Auto1 Group, before moving to another German scale-up, Zalando.

After Zalando, I decided to go to the other side of the table with Speedinvest. Initially, I joined their platform team, leveraging my time in industry and doing what I truly enjoy—working closely with founders. But due my background in investment banking and my strong interest in healthcare, I naturally found my way back to the investment side, where I became part of the Digital Health and TechBio team.

Then after almost seven years in Germany, this opportunity at K Fund knocked on my door, and I couldn't resist.

Why did you decide to join K Fund?

Spain is a no-brainer for me. I mean, who wouldn't want more sun and tinto de verano, right? But jokes aside, the startup scene here is still blossoming compared to other parts of Europe, yet it's definitely on the upswing. Geographically, Spain hits the jackpot, acting as a strategic bridge between Europe, Africa, and Latin America. They also have some serious strengths in sectors like fintech, climate tech, biotech, and e-commerce, with exciting emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and IoT gaining traction.

But what truly sealed the deal for me is the K family. Every time I'm in Madrid, the team has been nothing short of amazing, always radiating good vibes all around. So, the move felt just right.

What areas will you be focusing on?

At Leadwind, my main focus will revolve around deep tech, platform, and enabling technologies across Southern Europe and LATAM. But even though I'll be dedicating most of my attention to these regions, I'll still keep an eye on the rest of Europe. And, of course, healthcare technology will always hold a special spot for me, given my personal interest in the field.
