Isabel will be helping in all deals while being based in Lisbon, because now more than ever, we feel the growing need to have a presence in our neighboring country to bridge the Iberian ecosystem even closer.
Portugal is a market that we like and bet on a lot, and have already invested in several Portuguese founders. It's worth mentioning that last year marked the seventh unicorn with Portuguese DNA (Feedzai, Farfetch, Outsystems, Remote, Anchorage, SwordHealth and Talkdesk), and what impresses me is their international mindset Portuguese founders have from day one.
Isabel’s addition to the team while based in Lisbon, is part of our efforts to build a bigger footprint outside of Spain. She has been working with startups for the past 10 years passing through Cherry Ventures in Berlin and Shilling Founders Fund in Lisbon during her career.
We have known Isabel for more than 5 years already and always felt like she was meant to be part of the team, and now we are thrilled to be able to have her on board.
